How To Start Trading Options On Robinhood
Multi-step options strategies have been one of Robinhood’s most frequently requested features by options investors. With a multi-leg strategy, you can more effectively trade Level 3 strategies such as iron condors, straddles, strangles, call and put debit spreads, and call and put credit spreads, investing with less risk and with lower capital requirements.

This is one of the most requested features from our experienced clients, building on the work we’ve already done this year to improve their trading experience (more on that below).
If you have a cash account, clients can only use deposited cash or settlement funds to make transactions. As a result, FINRA* day trading rules that limit the number of day trades a client can make in a margin account during a five-day period no longer apply. This means that experienced clients with cash accounts can trade stocks, ETFs, and now options, without worrying about the number of daily trades. Options trading in cash accounts is a standard offering in the industry. Options trading involves significant risk and is not suitable for all clients, so all interested clients should apply for options access and review their account to determine whether they qualify.

Clients wishing to trade options in a cash account can click here or open the app and go to the Account tab → Menu → Investing → Day Trading Settings → Switch to Cash Account. On the Internet, go to Account → Settings → Investing → Account Type → Switch to Cash Account.
